HURRICANE WATCH a Hurricane watch means...

  • Hurricane conditions possible within 24 – 36 hours
  • Secure your home and hurricane supplies now.  Gas up motor vehicles and get cash.

HURRICANE WARNING

  • Hurricane conditions expected within 24 hours
  • Call Evacuation Shelters 
AFTER THE STORM
  • Boil tap water until Broward County’s Water Department determines water is safe for consumption. Call Water Plant
  • Report downed power lines FPL:  954-797-5000 or 1-800- 4-OUTAGE 
  • DO NOT stand or let children play in water puddles (standing water).
  • Report road debris blocking traffic, call The Streets division at
  • Take caution with allowing pets outdoors
